Hello and welcome to Tantra Island…I’m the man who coined the term Tantra Island.
There is a generation of Tantra Teachers including the Mindvalley Teacher Layla Martin who started their tantric life on Koh Phangan. I call that “the golden age of tantra”.
My name is Shaft Uddin at the age of 35 I decided to retire on Koh Phangan and dedicate myself to learning tantra. We all came here seeking enlightenment, none of us had jobs apart from working on ourselves and studying the mystical arts of tantra. We didn’t have any offices we needed to commute to, rooms we needed to clean, or having to worry about cooking. Back then £500 you could live like a king in mansions with infinity pools, amazing healthy vegan food, and people who clean your house. So we studied tantra every day and night for 7 years.
Without the distractions of modern living, stress, anxiety, Netflix, and scrolling, we all found enlightenment.
Yes, it’s not something outside of yourself. If you are only reaching higher states of consciousness through tantric rituals all day every day (and night) it’s impossible not to reach enlightenment.
And just to put things into perspective Dr Joe Dispensar and Tony Robbins are all teaching tantra. It’s all the same tools and practices, they’ll call it creation energy, life force energy, in Martial Arts they call Chi, in Yoga, they call it Kundalini and even in Star Wars, they call it The Force.
Here on Tantra Island, we call it something else “Sexual Energy”.
